Cheers to a campfire photo from 2016, the final post of our 75th Anniversary series! 2020 was definitely challenging, but as we look forward to the future we know that Camp Elim will come out stronger than ever! We are grateful for the many projects we were able to complete over the course of this year so that we are ready when we can welcome campers back again, including the complete renovation and replacement of our walk in fridge and freezer, new paint in the tabernacle (p...lus a rather LARGE surprise inside!), window replacements in the house, the electrical upgrade and large room renovation inside Alcatraz (craft shack), and the complete replacement of the roof of Alcatraz to name a few! We can't wait to see all of your smiling faces again! We hope you have enjoyed our little journey down memory lane over the past 75 days. Today, we invite you to share one of your favourite memories of Camp Elim in the comments! And don't forget to keep an eye on our social media channels in 2021 for the latest updates! #Elim75thAnniversary See more
Did you know that all 3 MC Sask camps used to do staff orientation together?! This group of leaders came together in 2003 at Camp Elim to get ready for summers at Shekinah, Youth Farm, and Elim. Were you a part of this group? Have a story to share about 3-camp staff orientation? Let us know in the comments! #Elim75thAnniversary
Ahhh, the old greased watermelon! This activity takes a lot of determination, energy, and perhaps, skill, as campers try to bring a heavily greased watermelon from the middle of the swimming area back to the beach. It sounds easier than it is! This group of senior teen campers tried valiantly to win the challenge in 2006! Have you ever taken part in the greased watermelon challenge? Are you in this picture, or do you know who is? Let us know in the comments! #Elim75thAnniversary
Our staff has an uncanny ability to meld a variety of personalities, interests, and backgrounds into one cohesive unit every year! This creates a fantastic camp experience for campers and staff alike! Today, we feature the staff of 2008! Ever been staff at Elim? Have a great staff memory? Are you in this photo? Let us know in the comments! #Elim75thAnniversary
