The members of MCS Chorus Mississauga send their very best wishes to Hazel McCallion as she celebrates her 100th birthday this Sunday, February 14. We thought that Edgar Guest's poem 'It Couldn't be Done' set to E Daley's lively music summed up 'Hurricane Hazel's spirit, conviction and leadership style. When MCS Chorus performed this at the 'Salute to Hazel' celebration in 2014, we changed the text to "She" and "Her" to pay the direct complement which she deserves. Congratulations to an inspirational lady. Mississauga became a great city under her watch . As 2020 draws to a close, we are deeply aware how much we miss being able to share the joy of music with you. It is especially hard as we approach the Holiday Season. Although we are not able to be with you in person this year, we are pleased to share some of the beautiful music of the Season with our Christmas Message to you. May you find health, happiness, and peace during the Holiday Season and through the coming year.

As Remembrance Day approaches, we are all aware that gatherings - even important gatherings to honour and remember - are not safe during this extended time of the Covid 19 pandemic. Please take a moment to listen and remember as the MCS Chorus/Mississauga performs a poignant 'Pie Jesu' by Canadian composer James Wright. During this special Thanksgiving season we are thinking of friends and family and remembering the joy of sharing music together.
