#transformationtuesday On the left is 2013. Meat eater, diet high in sugar, frequent intake of processed foods. Fairly high alcohol consumption. Highly regular training, sport specific. Young and metabolically peaked On the right is today, unfiltered, not in a cut, or even counting macros or calories atm. Fully vegan for 6 years in 1 month, diet is moderate in sugar (I like sweets and that's okay), much lower in processed foods and WAY higher in whole foods. Training 5-6...x/week in CrossFit/Olympic lifting. So what's the difference? Outside of an actual photographer on the L and me in my garage on the R, NOT THAT MUCH! And that's the point! This was my biggest fear when I went vegan, that I would lose my muscle and strength... As you can see , eating plants doesn't make you weak. In fact, on the left I weighed 185# and was probably 10-12% bf, and on the right I'm around 205# these days, more consistently around 10% bf. OH, and I've put over # on my squat and deadlift since then Weightloss, fat loss, muscle building, getting shredded/jacked/strong....Change is always possible with the right mindset and the right plan DM me right now to get started on your journey See more

There will always be ups and downs... There will always be a wave that will crash, something that will go wrong, and throw off your plans What then?... Most people react to these situations negatively, which is normal, BUT they then often continue to let the reaction take over What about instead of blaming someone or something looking for a reason this bad thing happened Remaining stuck on the emotion the situation caused We reacted as if we expected the wave to crash In no way does this mean always expect the worst - that's a negative mindset that will slow growth Just know that on your journey you will go through ups and downs, and that's okay You will fail, and that's necessary to learn If the wave knocks you down, get back up, and focus on what you can do next Follow me to keep growing your mind See more

What do you actually control?... I would say this this is the MOST common thing I work on with athletes/clients. People have varying tendencies, but I frequently see errors with this mindset concept Awareness - a topic for another day - of what you control is fundamental is how you take action on a daily basis... If you think you control things that you in fact do not, you will take action in an effort to do so. This often leaves people feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, and eventually helpless If you unaware of certain things that you do control, you might be leaving value on the table and limiting your results Going fwd, I'll often put reminders or labels of whether or not something is in your control. But a great practice I have ALL my athletes/clients do is to make a list of all their stressors/fears/worries, and then once they complete the list, go back through with a red pen and cross off all items that are not fully inside your control. What you'll be left with is what you can take action on, and what you cross out is what you will waste energy on if you focus on it Being Vegan comes with a special set of ideas to consider when we think about what we control. The transition is often emotional and can involve things like - scrutiny - others' opinions - recognition of pain you may have inadvertently caused - relearning cooking/eating - a shifting of social 'rules' Some of the above you control, some you do not. And it's important to know which is which. Need help with this? DM me, I'm here for you See more

It's no stretch of truth to say the world has flipped upside down... While it's been extremely stressful for many, the potential for positive change is one of the greatest I've seen in my lifetime Systemic racism has come to the forefront of many people's minds allowing for internal reflection and the possibility of growth towards equity... The pandemic has shown humanity some of its glaring weaknesses in the way we function on a global scale, which will hopefully result in better practices and more safety for all One of the biggest lessons I've been advocating to my clients is you gotta keep moving forward Even if it's modified progress Even if it's at a slower rate than it was Even if it feels flipped upside down Even if it's hard to stay motivated Growth only comes from movement So keep moving and keep growing And if want some help, you know where to find me See more
