Alberta Wildfire has recently launched a brand new application for Albertans and those who want to know more about wildfire in the province. The new application has many features, including the ability to search for specific information such as fire bans and advisories across the province. It allows the user to select different map layers that show fire danger ratings or even the location of mountain pine beetles in Alberta. The new intuitive application provides wildfire inf...ormation in real time, in a one-stop shop format. By using the GPS function, users can instantly know if a fire ban is in place in their area or if there is an active wildfire nearby. They can also get a provincial look at the current wildfire situation with the home view. Users can subscribe to forest area notifications and stay on top of emerging situations in areas of interest. We encourage you to download the application today for Apple at https://apple.co/3uwULef and Android https://bit.ly/3habOyM devices. #lesserslaveriver #LSRFS

Mental illnesses and addictions are very common forms of human pain and suffering. Being a good listener, asking how you can help, or simply just being there for people you care about can be the first step to recovery. Your presence alone can have a powerful and positive impact. The Path Forward starts today Monday, February 8. Alberta is bending the curve to protect our healthcare system, but we must be careful not to lift restrictions too quickly. A roadmap has been developed at the Path Forward to help Albertans understand how restrictions will be eased in steps over the coming months based on hospitalization benchmarks. Each step sets a more predictable path for easing restrictions, while protecting our healthcare system. Once hospitalizations ...are within range of the benchmark, decisions to move to the next step will be considered. The lowest-risk activities in each sector will be considered for change first. Moving between steps will happen at least 3 weeks apart to assess the impact on cases. To learn more about the Path Forward, please visit the MD's dedicated COVID-19 portal at mdlsr.ca/COVID-19. #lesserslaveriver #inthistogetherLSR
