The SME Relaunch Grant offers financial assistance to Alberta businesses, cooperatives, and non-profit organizations that were ordered to close or curtail operations, and that experienced a revenue reduction of at least 30%, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The program offers 2 payments to eligible applicants, with up to $20,000 in available funding per eligible application. 2021 Municipal Election Nomination Period Open The 2021 Municipal Election Day is Monday, October 18, 2021. Amendments to the Alberta Local Authorities Election Act in September 2020 has made changes to the process which include a change to the nomination period.... **NEW** for the 2021 election, the Nomination Period for receipt of Nomination Papers commences January 1, 2021 and closes at 12:00 noon on September 20, 2021 (Nomination Day). The Candidate Information Form must also be filed at the same time as the Nomination Paper is filed.
