It is so important to wash your hair brushes on a regular basis Not only does product build up in your brushes, but so does dead skin cells, dust mites, lint and natural oils from your scalp. If you don’t clean them, you are adding all that back into your hair every time you brush! This can lead to your hair feeling dirtier sooner ... How to clean your brushes; Remove hair from brush Fill sink or bowl with warm water Using a few drops of shampoo (I’m using the Black as it’s clarifying) get water sudsy If brushes are really dirty you can add 1-2tsp of baking soda If brush is plastics you can submerge in water for 3-5 min. If wood, don’t fully submerged brush as you can damage the wood finish Use a toothbrush for extra cleaning Rinse under cold water and allow to dry, bristles facing down
