This picture created an interesting wave of emotion in me. There we are staring across from each other keeping each other safe. But how I miss touch and being able to hold my loved ones. In this picture I also notice the children’s self control and ability to regulate themselves. I notice the power of looking into someone eyes to connect and relate. I notice how each child is sitting in a space of empathy; I get it I see you I am here

Did you know there is a development sequence to drawing? First kids start with scribbling, then circular scribbles and as they gain more control they are able to start and stop their writing utensil to create lines, circles, crosses etc. Remember: if kids are unable to make these shapes; letter formation will be more difficult. ... Tips and tricks to support drawing skills: side -by - side drawing with your child whereby you draw fun, easy pictures with these shapes and have your child copy (i.e. a snow man, a house, a lollipop, a tree). Try using a variety of sensory modalities to draw these shapes (i.e. sand, cornmeal, J-ello powder). Use popsicle sticks to build shapes and most of all JUST have FUN!!!!! @perthchildrensot
