Spring is here! And we are excited to be able to continue to offer vaulting lessons at MCVC! This winter was tough for us, between Covid restrictions and personal/family challenges and changes. We would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support of us here as leaders and coaches at MCVC. But also thank you for the great friends you’ve all become and sharing this journey in sport and life with you all means a lot to us! And a special thank you needs to go to the Alberta ...Equestrian Federation for their support of our programs. Due to our challenges we weren’t able to thank them yet! However, we greatly appreciate their support during this challenging time with Covid - your support is allowing us to keep our horses fed and healthy, and we are able to continue to offer our vaulting programs to everyone! #AEFcommunity

As 2020 comes to an end we are reflecting on what we’ve been up to all year! The year sure turned out to be very different then what we had planned and hoped for! But regardless we had a good year of vaulting. Since we weren’t able to attend any competitions or shows we decided to retire a few of our horses and found them all the greatest new homes where they are being loved. Ottello now lives in Cochrane and enjoys being ridden lots, mostly dressage, trails and pleasure, an...d all the lovings. Jonah went all the way up to Grand Prairie to live with the sweetest lady that just loves and adores him as much as we all did. And Wagner went on to pursue his dressage career in Calgary, where he’s being spoiled and loved! Early Spring we acquired a sweet draft cross mare (Cherry) that we worked with, riding and vaulting for a few months. Cherry now lives in BC and everyone at Seaside Vaulters just adores her! Most our Vaulters stayed motivated through all the weeks of no training at our facility. Lots of at home fitness and training! When we were allowed to train here at our facility again it sure was great to see that everyone stayed so fit! Our walk/trot classes had a ton of interest this fall which was great to see, they’re all super eager to learn! It was a blast to have so many new vaulters join us! Late fall we acquired 2 new horses to join our programs. They both need some more training, but hopefully we’ll be able to bring them to some competitions in 2021! All in all we managed to have a great year with our Vaulters, horses and coaches. What a fun and inspiring group of athletes and families we get to work with! A special shout out to our amazing coaches and assistant coaches that make each lesson possible and inspire the vaulters to work hard. And to the vaulters that worked relentlessly towards their vaulting goals in 2020 in hopes of bigger things in the years ahead - we cannot wait to see how all the extra training this past year is going to set you up for the future! Way to stay focused! Here’s to hoping we’ll be able to get together in 2021 and see the rest of the vaulting world again. In the meantime, we are busy building an addition onto our existing arena to better serve our growing programs and this will bring some new opportunities for everyone.
