We are posting this with great sadness. A message was sent out to the school community yesterday sharing the tragic news that Ms. Jessica Gavin (DECE for K1) was killed in a car accident on Sunday. Her death is such a terrible loss and she will be missed. If anyone wants to contribute to a Go Fund Me that has been set up to support Ms. Gavin's family, we have included the link.

Did you know that many of our Meadowlane students were involved in building and planting the Forest Heights Pollinator Patch last fall? Funded by grants from both the Region of Waterloo and the City of Kitchener, the Patch has been organized, built, planted and maintained entirely by community volunteers. Follow them on Facebook, Instagram @ForestHeightsPollinatorPatch and Twitter @ForestPatch for more info on this awesome neighbourhood initiative.

JUST IN: Premier Doug Ford and Education Minister Stephen Lecce have announced the reopening plans for September. We can confirm WRDSB elementary students will ...return full time and WRDSB secondary students will return in a hybrid model. We will be releasing detailed information soon. Stay tuned! We are excited about the new school year and look forward to seeing all our students and staff in September. Although things will look different, we are confident that our students, staff and families will feel safe. This is the news we have been waiting to hear!
