Meadowlark Nature Festival 27.06.2021

The world has lost a good one. So sad that Rob Stelkia passed away July 11th. Rob has collaborated for many, many years with the Meadowlark Festival offering horseback riding tours at his Wolf Creek Ranch. Such a great outing complete with delish homemade chilli and bannock prepared by members of his family and stories shared by his mom Jane. In the last several years Rob has been coordinating horse therapy sessions at the Oliver Correctional Centre. Such a great guy. RIP Rob. We’ll miss you. https://nunes-pottinger.com/condolences-and-tributes/

After further careful consideration, OSCA and the Meadowlark Festival team are very disheartened to have to announce the cancellation of the 2020 Meadowlark Nature Festival. These are unprecedented, uncertain times and we hope that everyone stays safe and well this summer. We hope you are able to get outdoors on your own and experience the amazing natural wonders of your neck of the woods! Be well everyone! We'll see you next year at the 2021 Festival taking place May 20th to 24th. In the meantime here are some of our favourite shots from past Festivals! See you soon!!

Hey all you Meadowlarkers. Meadowlark Festival is supporting the Peach City Radio CFUZ ONAIRversary fundraiser today. For a $100 donation you can get great swag including a CFUZ bumper sticker, a CFUZ water bottle, and a MNF prize package that includes 2 tickets to Saturday Night at the Movies screening "The Biggest Little Farm" and 2 MNF t-shirts featuring the artwork of this year's artist Michael Sime! Over the years CFUZ has been hugely supportive of MNF broadcasting our keynote speakers like Chris Turner and James Raffan. Also long-time Meadowlarkers Craig Henderson and Bob Nicholson have produced shows promoting the MNF tours. Its our turn to give back to this other great community gem!! Call 236-422-0929. Check out their ONAIRversary here. https://peachcityradio.org/

Meadowlark Festival and COVID 19 emergency measures After careful consideration, it is with heavy hearts that OSCA and the Meadowlark team announce the postponement of the 2020 Meadowlark Nature Festival scheduled May 14th to 18th. This decision was made with the health, well-being and best interests of our volunteers, tour leaders, supporters and participants being paramount. Following the directives from our governments and public health agencies stressing the need for soci...al distancing, we are committed to doing our part to ensure our communities remain safe and viable. It is our sincere hope that we can present the Festival in the Fall but as of now, like many, we must wait out this time of uncertainty over the next few months. We will keep you informed about future plans for the Festival as they unfold. In the meantime, take good care of yourselves and each other! See more
