*updated: Public Health has issued a correction and is now advising there is no need to get tested unless you have symptoms or are contacted by them. Public Hea...lth has confirmed a case of COVID-19 at New Germany Rural High School. Based on Public Health findings to date, potential exposure could have happened on April 28th and/or April 29th. Students were not in school at this time, however, out of an abundance of caution, Public Health is recommending that all students and staff at New Germany Rural High School be tested. Yesterday after work I went to the cinema in town for a rapid test. It took 20 minutes, start to finish. My results were sent in a text message 30 minutes after my test. Asymptomatic testing is important. It ensures there are no asymptomatic positives walking around in public. It helps stop the spread. We are still able to practice during this lockdown. I wanted to get tested for my patients just as much as for myself. When we get tested, wear a mask, are honest about our ex...posures- these are all gestures of love, and ultimately what will flatten the curve. The pop-up rapid test site is set up at the cinema in Bridgewater again today, 12-7 and tomorrow, 12-6. If you do have symptoms you must book a test via 811. If you’ve been to an exposure site or around someone with Covid you also have to book via 811. Otherwise, I strongly encourage you to take advantage of this occasion. We’re all in this together

Please check the exposure list regularly, especially if you’re coming in for an appointment. There’s an exposure listed in our town. If you were at any of the exposure sites please reschedule your appointment.

POP-UP SITE TESTING EXTENDED AGAIN We’ve just received word that ANOTHER day of rapid testing at the COVID-19 pop-up site at Cineplex is being added tomorrow ...(Tuesday, May 4). The site will be open beginning at 2 p.m. and will remain open until 7 p.m. As of early this evening, more than 3,800 people have had tests completed since the pop-up site opened at noon on Friday great work, everyone!

It’s allergy season. COVID-19 and seasonal allergies share some symptoms, but not others. Use this chart to compare the common symptoms of COVID-19 and seaso...nal allergies so you can tell the difference. If you’re sick, you may need a COVID-19 test to confirm your diagnosis. Hey everyone, I wanted to point out that for the time being, we are still able to continue practicing at Harmony. Restrictions on massage therapy apply solely to areas within or immediately around the HRM. While I’m thankful to still be able to practice I have some trepidation with regards to exposure sites. Please be honest when we ask if you’ve been to any exposure sites. Transparency is key. As always I have a tremendous amount of gratitude and love for all of you who choose to have me in your lives. It is an honour to get to know you and help with your health endeavors. Take care
