Meals on Wheels is available to all Seniors (65+) and other qualifying individuals. Hot meals are just $8.50 per meal including a soup & dessert and supplied to us by Gourmet At Home daily. It's National Volunteer Week and our volunteers are being greeted with Nigh's chocolates and Swiss Chalet gift cards when they come for deliveries this week. We want to show them how very thankful we are for their dedication to our program, our clients, and our community. A very special thank you to our volunteer Sharon Tingey, and Jensen Cheese in Simcoe, Ontario for the successful fundraiser. We are happy to announce that we earned $556.00 and everyone is very happy with their delicious cheese. Due to Covid we were unable to host our annual volunteer appreciation events this year, but we still very much appreciate each and everyone of our volunteers. . . . what to do??? Well we decided to host a drive through appreciation event. Each volunteer was called to come to our new location at 953 Elm Street to pick up their Volunteer Appreciation Surprise! A beautiful pie made by The Pie Guys and a beautiful poinsettia from TD Greenhouses in Wainfleet. A big THANK-YOU to each and everyone of our wonderful volunteers.

Please share! Volunteers needed! We have 2 regular routes available, one to Wainfleet each Monday ( a small route with 2 deliveries currently) and another on Wednesdays that is one stop at an apartment building. We had several people step up to help through the pandemic which was so much appreciated, but now they are beginning to go back to work. If you have a free hour at lunchtime on either of these days, or are available to be be a spare fill-in vounteer, please get in touch. We need you!

Are you getting stir crazy? Do you have an hour to spare at the noon hour to deliver meals to people in our community? We have taken COVID-19 precautions and continue to deliver meals to those in need in the Port Colborne and Wainfleet areas. We have a regular weekly route available and we are always in need of spare drivers to fill in when people are away.

Community Support Services Niagara, a member agency of MOWAN (Meals on Wheels Association Niagara), are launching a grocery delivery service for seniors.

Please share - A lot of snow birds and March break vacationers are coming home this weekend. Travel safely but please go home and stay home for two weeks.

Our volunteers are the best helpers you will ever find. Thanks for your dedication, cooperation and help in getting meals out to the most vulnerable in our community.

Asking our volunteers to please ensure they are making use of proper hand hygiene at all times and especially when out on meal deliveries. Hand Sanitizer is provided in all delivery binders and we encourage you to use it after each delivery.

We had the pleasure of listening to the Ukuleladies along with their Ukuleleader at our Wheels to Meals Luncheon today. Lots of fun Christmas music! Thanks for entertaining us :)
