Measure Twice, Cut Once

Watching my husband Kirk Bradbury effortlessly do complicated mental math in his head on-the-fly while preparing a quote for a customer is fascinating to me! He has his high school diploma, is college educated, received further specialized education for his trade via the Canadian Forces over a 22 year long full career, and is one of the smartest, most talented people I know! Now, he is furthering his education by completing the Home Inspection course from Dalhousie University... (2 years of full time, non-stop learning to know everything there is to know about every building code and standard imaginable, which will continue as building codes change)....and yet, some people still look down their nose at him! It’s really ironic because he has more collective education than most of my friends who went to University! Tradespeople are brilliant and we really need to respect them more and change that stigma! My son, Isaac, helped install the flooring. He’s a great apprentice already. My wife Jodi always puts a beautiful touch on the accessories. We are very happy with how it turned out.

Thank you for your continued patience with my almost non-existent schedule for taking on carpentry work while I am in school...it is very important for me to focus on school right now and I appreciate the understanding when I am unable to take on all your projects. This weekend, however, my focus is on stretchy pants and turkey! Mmmm
