It’s not about the followers It's about building authentic relationships and nurturing loyal customers. It’s about providing value for the community you already have.... While we all love to see that follower count grow, it’s important to remember to focus on creating valuable content that converts first and foremost before devoting time and effort to growth strategies.

The first step to improving your social media strategy is understanding your analytics. But some of it can be confusing if you aren’t familiar. So, here is a quick break down of some of the key metrics you can track: Reach = The total number of individual people that viewed your content... Impressions = The total number of times your content was viewed Profile Visits = The number of visitors that clicked on your handle to view your profile Engagements = Likes, comments, shares, and saves Average Engagement Rate = The percentage of followers that interact with your content on average Your engagement rate can be calculated by averaging your total engagements from your last 10 posts and dividing that by your number of followers. Each month you should: Review your content Determine what performed well based on these metrics Decide what areas need improvement Create content better tailored to your audience Are you currently tracking your analytics?

The process of designing new branding for our agency partners is infinitely exciting for us! We begin with a detailed discovery meeting to truly understand your business. We get to learn all about the story of your brand, how it started, driving values, the problems your business solves for its customers and the impact it has on their lives. The passion our partners have for their brand story is truly captivating and we can’t help but get caught up in it all. From this poi...nt, we take what’s been revealed and collaborate with our team, analyzing audience, other brands in the same industry or with a shared audience, and we pinpoint a strategic brand direction. This is such a unique opportunity to breathe life into and/or reinvigorate a brand, and reignite that excitement the founder or team has for their business. The final deliverables provide our partners with elements of their story, well researched colours, typefaces, and design, all wrapped up in a beautiful and fully functional brand kit. To learn more about our processes or work together on your branding, DM us! We’d love to chat about how we can help bring your brand to life.

Did you know that you can repurpose your content? No, I don’t mean just posting the same photo with the same caption over and over. What I mean is that instead of always coming up with new topic ideas and creating entirely new pieces of content, you can slightly adjust and repurpose your content to use on various platforms. ... Here’s an example: You write an informative blog post with actionable tips for your audience. This is one large piece of content that can then be broken down into smaller pieces, such as: An important quote made into a tweet The main takeaway made into an instagram post Three key tips made into a reel A downloadable checklist with next steps Now instead of just one piece of content you have five! Repurposing your content is so amazing because not only does it save you time and effort but it also provides your audience with more and more value! Think you’ll start repurposing your content? Let us know in the comments!

Take advantage of the holiday cheer around your home and office, grab your phone or camera and shoot some great, custom stock photography to warm up your feed between now and new years. A few tips 1.Use a good camera or a newer iPhone... Photos must be crisp and clear, so that means you need to start with good equipment. If you don’t have a high-quality camera, try one of the newer iPhones. They have good built-in cameras and some great editing features too. You might want to invest in an inexpensive tripod too if you don’t have a steady hand. 2. Use natural light Whenever possible, take photos in natural daylight. Lighting is so important to get a good quality photo. If you are indoors, try to have lighting from various angles to avoid shadows and make sure you edit photos to compensate for any colour casts. Indoor lighting can often make photos look too warm. 3. Aim for good composition Have you ever heard of the rule of thirds when it comes to photography? The idea is to divide your screen into three vertically and horizontally. The focus of the photo should fall on one of the dividers, rather than just be centered in the frame. This makes the image more pleasing to the eye. 4. Try a close-up Rather than trying to fit everything into one photo, take several individual photos. This gives you an opportunity to really showcase a product, location, or person! Experiment with different angles and distances until you snap a photo you love. 5. Keep your style consistent If possible, try to edit your photos in a consistent way so they appear as a coherent collection when someone visits your account. Keep photos clear and bright and within your brand colour palette if possible. Good photography can make such a difference in capturing attention and engagement! It does takes practice, but batching your learning, setting aside a day each month or quarter to snap a collection of photos will make your social media strategy a lot easier in the long run!

What does it mean to be a strategy first agency? It means that we don’t jump into a project without having a clear picture of your business and your marketing needs. It means that we don’t follow marketing trends, we do what’s best for your business.... It means that before we do anything, we do our research! We get all the for moodboards! But what exactly is the purpose of a moodboard? Moodboards are an early piece in our brand discovery process. We love using them as a jumping off point for a branding project -- pulling together inspiration for the overall look, feel and color palette for a brand.... But moodboards can be helpful in other ways too. They provide a great starting point for social media! You can pull inspiration from your moodboard to guide you in choosing images that have a similar look and feel for your social feed. Essentially, they are a staple of the brand design process that can be referred back to again and again for inspiration and direction. . . . #MediaShopCollective #MoodoardMonday #SocialMediaMarketingAgency
