Fall cleaning called to me today and while clearing out an old file drawer I came across all manner of articles I'd written from more than twelve years ago........this one still speaks to me, a single web page describing our offerings. THE WAY OF THE MEDICINE HORSE Medicine Horses have been on earth since time began, but recently they have been calling out to those who can hear them, calling the Medicine Horse Men and Women to speak up and bring those near who will benefit from the healing the Medicine Horses are offering. Ancient Native American prophesies spoke of the time these special horses would arrive in great numbers to help heal the earth and her beings. The time is now. They are here and waiting to be of service. Come spend time in the healing energy field of our Medicine Horses. Meet our Wisdom Horse, Spirit Horse, Dream Horse and others all waiting to be of service. Allow the healing energy of the Medicine Horses to return you and yours to alignment with the rhythms of Mother Earth. Feel healing as it occurs at quantum energy levels beyond our scope of understanding. We offer Freedom Programs which bring children into natural outdoor surroundings. In these creative spaces they are given a safe environment in which to express themselves and explore all of their senses in their own way. Returning the family to wholeness is a priority of our knowledgeable facilitators along with our trained volunteers. Each and every one of our programs is tailored specifically to meet each family and child's needs. All children, especially Youth at Risk, children with Autism, Aspergers, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, ADD and ADHD can benefit greatly from the healing energy of the Medicine Horses. Ours is neither a riding nor therapy program. Ours is a natural flow of love and communication between species....most especially between horses and humans. There is no need to speak, no need to confront issues, no need to delve into the psyche....just breathe and allow the healing to take place. The Medicine Horses are the healers. We, The Way of the Medicine Horse facilitators simply continue to watch in awe as the miracles unfold.

Our wet west coast winter weather is soon to begin and so The Sanctuary has ordered lightly insulated water proof rain sheets for the horses. All of the horses have been sponsored thanks to the following donors: Naida Hyde, Cindy Ralph and family, Donald MacDonald, Stacey Lynch and an anonymous donor.

Just a quick note to let our followers know that we are open to visits provided Covid-19 protocols are followed. We are honored to be trusted during these times with ongoing visits by a number of the youth from WSANEC LEADERSHIP SECONDARY SCHOOL. It is because of these cherished connections and the strict control measures which have been put in place by the various First Nation communities in order to protect their Elders and Knowledge Keepers that we have paused all group gatherings at this time. We look forward to the days when this pandemic has waved goodbye. Meanwhile we are grateful for any and all donations that help the Sanctuary continue to operate. Thank you and stay well!

The Sanctuary is open to visits with individuals, families and small groups. The visits are held out of doors which makes safe distancing easy to accommodate. For those who are anxious about being close to the horses it is important to know that you don't have to be close at all for the horses to be able to do their work. In fact we've no way to measure how far reaching their healing energy radiates! The funds raised through visits to the herd help maintain ongoing care leading to their excellent health and yours. Visits are available by appointment only week day mornings, some weekends by special arrangement.
