Ticket Refunds for Cancelled Paddling Film Festival - World Tour Medicine Hat 2020 As per previous correspondence, the Medicine Hat Public Library had been handing Ticket refunds for the Club, up until the Library was closed due to the provincially mandated Pandemic Restrictions.... With the closure of the Library, due to the Pandemic, the Club will handle refunds directly, once COVID Restrictions have been lifted; currently anticipating late January 2021 time frame. The Medicine Hat Public Library has been good to the Medicine Hat Paddling Club in handling Ticket Refunds for us. Unfortunately with the recently announced enhanced COVID Restrictions in Alberta, the Library is Closed as of end of day Saturday, until at least 12/January/2021. Folks, It is with great reluctance, and sadness that we are announcing the Paddling Film Festival - World Tour - Medicine Hat 2020, is cancelled for 2020. You will recall, that back in March, we postponed it, just days before the planned date, due to the onset of the implications of COVID-19 Pandemic. We had anticipated / hoped to have a venue this Fall to show the great set of 2020 Paddling Films. Unfortunately with the deteriorating Pandemic situation, we will now have to announce that we are cancelling it for 2020. Our 2020 Film Festival would have been the 5th Annual Event in Medicine Hat, and Globally the 15th Year of this prestigious Paddling Film Festival. Ticket Refunds ($12 / Paid Ticket) will be available at the Medicine Hat Public Library, between Monday, 23/November and Wednesday 16/December, during Library hours. Please take Your Ticket(s) there and they will be Refunded. You will need the whole Ticket(s), for Your Refund. It is sad for the Medicine hat Paddling Club, as the Paddling Film Festival - World Tour - Medicine Hat 2020 is our Annual Fundraiser for the Club; all proceeds go back into Public Events in our area on Paddling Safety, Life Jacket Safety, Paddling Skills Enhancement, and opportunities for the Public to freely try out Paddling. Medicine Hat Paddling Club - November Meeting / AGM The Board of the Medicine Hat Paddling Club has agreed to postpone the November / AGM to February 2021.... We will target resuming Club Meetings on 23/February/2021. We will have no meetings until then. Currently we do not have any Pool, nor Skills Sessions booked for November through February. The COVID-19 Pandemic has put a kibosh on availability of Meeting Rooms and Pool Venues. Trusting everyone at least got on the Water and Social Distanced in their Kayaks / Boats over the Summer and enjoyed our long forgotten Fall. We will issue an Update Note on the status of Paddling Film Festival - World Tour Medicine Hat 2020 over the next couple of days, and an update on status of refunds, for those wishing Refunds.
