***FULLY BOOKED*** ***UPDATE FOR PFIZER COVID-19 VACCINE*** We just got notified that we will be receiving a supply of PFIZER VACCINE Wednesday May 5th by 3pm.... We will have 90 Doses to be given BY APPOINTMENT ONLY from May 5th until May 10th (Saturday and Sunday appointments are available too). You must currently be eligible by AHS guidelines to book (Visit: https://www.alberta.ca/covid19-vaccine.aspx for details on eligibility). All previous Phases (Seniors etc...) who have not yet received vaccine are still eligible as well! ****Booking FIRST doses only - we screen Netcare prior to your appointment so if you have already had a dose your appointment will be cancelled***** TO ADD YOURSELF TO OUR WAITLIST VISIT : ms403.medmeapp.ca/schedule ONCE ON THE WAITLIST YOU WILL LATER RECEIVE A LINK TO BOOK YOUR SPECIFIC APPOINTMENT. Astra Zeneca Vaccine still available for ages 40 to 64. We are now also able to vaccinate ages 65+ and those with underlying medical conditions if they are wanting to get an AZ vaccine now rather than waiting for a Pfizer or Moderna. We get lots of requests to prescribe antibiotics for toothache/dental infections... ... Most toothaches don't actually require treatment with antibiotics! And when they are prescribed it isn't a "permanent fix" - you still need proper ongoing dental care. Taking an antibiotic when you don't really need it can be dangerous! It can lead to antibiotic resistance issues, or sometimes serious adverse effects! .... AND.... unfortunately, dental assessments are not in the scope of practice for Pharmacists, so in most cases we will refer you to your Dentist or Dental Hygienist for proper assessment and care! The Dental team may be able to treat your concern in office without the need for antibiotics! Our job may be to provide you with medication, but it is also our job to ensure medications are appropriate for you and used safely!
