My shield rebuild is done! I decided to add a little extra heraldic detail to the roses. I think it looks cool. How about you?

So I finally decided to refit my personal shield while I was working on others. I think it turned out pretty well. I just need to paint my arms on it and it’s ready to go!

Here is the new price list for shields and the Shield Making Workshop. If you are interested contact me, info below. Workshops can happen with mask, appropriate Social Distancing and sanitizing. The weather has been great lately and is perfect for workshops.

Hey!! I haven’t posted in a while but here are some new blanks. First of all I’ve been playing with 1/8 ply wood. Two layers(1/4 total) are nice and light an...d perfect for LARPing. Simply strap them and contact cement your foam and cover with canvas or other material. $20-$40 per shield type for 1/4 thickness. I’ve also put together three layers of 1/8 ply(3/8 total). These are a bit lighter than the 1/2 shield and would be good for LARPing or Stage Combat. Simply edge, strap and cover. $30-$60 per shield type for 3/8 thickness. I’ll be completing a couple of the 3/8 shields for Stage Combat and a couple of the 1/4 for LARP as soon as I get the right foam for them. I’ll follow up with pricing for the completed shields as well. Also stay tuned for videos of my shield builds. See more
