Alberta reported an estimated 1,100 new cases (300 new variant cases) of COVID-19 on Friday, more than 50% higher than the 717 confirmed a week ago. The last time Alberta reported more than 1,000 cases in one day was Jan. 6, with 1,123. Premier Jason Kenney and Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw have pleaded Albertans to continue following public health restrictions over the Easter long weekend. Dr. Deena Hinshaw tweeted the following:... I know Passover, Easter & Ramadan are important to many but we are at a challenging moment. Please make the safest choices you can this weekend, in everything you do. I ask all Albertans to strictly abide by restrictions & public health measure so we can slow transmission. We all want to spend time with our families this Easter, but it’s more important than ever to do so safely. Indoor gatherings remain prohibited limit them to household members or 2 close contacts. This is not the weekend for gathering together with extended family & friends. Please limit in-person interactions whenever you can & follow the current #COVID19AB health restrictions in place. Please make the safest choice you can, in everything you do. Masks are still mandatory in all indoor public places, indoor workplaces, and places of worship. #MaskUpWithMediMask We wish you all a safe and Happy Easter Long Weekend.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but what is a virtual hug worth? More than a thousand words, that’s for sure. Tag, comment or share this virtual hug and let someone special know you're thinking about them. We may be apart, but in our hearts we're closer than ever. While the physical hug might not occur, the emotional message and meaning stay the same, and sometimes, that’s all that matters.... During the COVID-19 pandemic, Canadians have taken incredible steps to support one another with compassion through this challenging time. These are troubling times for many, and now more than ever it is important that we listen to health experts to protect our friends, families, and colleagues. MediMask CANADA is sending you a virtual hug today, as we await Dr. Deena Hinshaw to provide Alberta’s COVID-19 update this afternoon at 3:30p.m. *Side-note: Science says virtual hugs won't actually stop the bugs, but they do help us stay connected. Stop the spread and show you care. #MaskUpWithMediMask

One of the best ways to protect yourself, your loved ones and the people in your community from COVID-19 and its spread is to wear a mask when going out in public. Wearing a mask not only provides protection but it also provides a visual cue to others that ‘I care about you, and am willing to withstand some discomfort’ during this unprecedented time. Stop the spread and show you care. #MaskUpWithMediMask

As gyms slowly reopen and warmer weather approaches, it’s a great time to think about the mask you use during exercise especially since experts predict we’ll be wearing masks at least until 2022. You may feel awkward or uncomfortable the first time you wear a mask while exercising but this is normal and you will adjust. Studies indicate that disposable surgical masks don’t hinder exercise performance, even during intense workouts and continue to recommend using three-ply fac...e masks for exercise. Just make sure to bring a few extra masks with you so you can change them out if your mask becomes saturated with moisture! Mask up with MediMask Canada. Not only do our masks meet ASTM F2100-19 requirements, they also offer first-class comfortability. Place an order or speak with a member of our sales team today! With the continued increase of cases and outbreaks associated with more contagious variants, we must all remain vigilant with public health measures and individual precautions to prevent a rapid shift in trajectory of the epidemic. Aiming to have the fewest interactions with the fewest number of people, for the shortest time, at the greatest distance possible, while wearing the best-fitting mask is a simple rule that we can all apply to help limit the spread of COVID-19, as vaccine programs expand to protect all Canadians.
