Do you get everything you want in your relationship? If you know anything about me, bacon and waffles is not part of my typical diet. I could have silently (or outwardly) complained about why my husband after all these years can't make me something that I would really want to eat. Instead, I chose to be a flexitarian impressed by his creativity inspired by @yougottaeathere for Mother’s Day brunch. Besides, he did get it half right because poached eggs are my favorite, and ...aren't I freaking lucky to have a child after 6 years of struggling to conceive? I ate every morsel with gratitude (&without guilt) and got to go for a family walk by the water to burn off the sugar from the waffles which was super tasty. Then, I got to see my parents, although for only a short visit because of the pandemic, I consider myself lucky to have parents, that I have a good relationship with them and that they live nearby. To top off the day, I chose the takeout venue from one of my fav restaurants, @tabule . It was a day of reflection and a reminder not to take anything or anyone for granted. I am thankful for all that I have and do not forget the long road it took me to get to where I am today. Life is full of imperfections and a heck of a lot of things beyond my control. It's what I do with it that counts. I choose love, gratitude and joy. How about you? What did you do? Please comment below or DM me. I'd love to hear from you. #ivfmom #pathwaystopregnancy #mothersdaylove #gratitude #inspirationalwomen #mindsetiskey #fertilitywarrior

Day 10 Possibility Challenge Change your story and change your life is meaningful to me. I had always imagined that I'd have two kids. But when you go through 5 years of fertility challenges before conceiving, I prefer to rewrite this narrative. Who says we can't complete our family with a fur baby? ... Ok. There was a mourning period which is healthy but I'm not one to wallow in suffering. I'd rather be creative. So when our kid kept bugging us for a sister and I told her that it wasn't possible (being over 50), she then was relentless to have a dog. I didn't think it was in the cards for us and our lifestyle. Here we are in a pandemic and we are mostly homebound. Was it a coincidence that my patient told me about her brother having a litter of pups and that they were only going to give them to people they knew and trust? Call it fate but either way, here we are... embracing a new chapter of our life completed with a dog. What narrative can you change to shift from being a victim of your life to creating a life that you love? #puppylove #emotionalsupportdog #lifeafterinfertility #pathwaystopregnancy #bestchristmasever #furbabylove #embraceyoufirst

Day 9 post a picture or quote and share how you are committing to stand in your power. It's one thing to have wants and desires. If you want to make your dreams a reality, it takes small consistent and doable actions over time. Shampoo. Rinse and repeat. I love this quote by Wayne Gretzky ... " You miss 100% of the shots you don't take " reminds me that all the little steps I take are additive has led me to achieve things I had never thought I would accomplish like writing and publishing a book, having a podcast and 2 YouTube channels, and owning one of North America's leading health and wellness clinics. Can't wait to spread more health and happiness as @drtanyawylde and I create an online course this spring relevant for all women postpartum. If I, who came to Canada as an immigrant family can do this, you can too. How are you committed to standing in your power? Day 8 Possibility Challenge: post a picture and write a positive affirmations you love. There are times that we must fight for what we believe in such as equality for humankind and eliminating the use of plastics as much as possible for the health of our animals and our planet. For the holidays, I'm choosing to be kind and letting go of the need to be right especially when it comes to little things. ... In my opinion this is one of the keys to love, peace, and happiness in my home. I get that during a pandemic we are isolated or cooped up with loved ones for an unusually long time. We can get triggered, our fears and anxiety may be raised but is t it better to be more actively aware of how we treat those closest to us. What words do you love by and what inspires you to be the best version of yourself? Do tell. @embrace_you_first @iamnatalie @drtanyawylde_nd @bossbabe.inc @lisa2motivate @aliveholistichealthclinic #holidaykindness #embraceyoufirst #12daysofpossibility #pathwaystopregnancy #inspirationalquotes #wordstoliveby

Day 7 Possibility Challenge: post a picture and share with us one of your unique gifts One of my unique gifts is choosing love and forgiveness over fear and abandonment. Given the opportunity, education, support, and real connection, I trust that many people can choose to do the right thing. Take for example my assistant Marie who I had found overbilling my clinic at ALIVE for several months. ... Many people likely would not bat an eyelash and fire her on the spot. I contemplated her reasons and asked to meet with her. I told her that when she joined our team, she became part of a family and asked her if she would steal from her mom. She replied no. I told her that my heart was broken and asked what she would do in my position? I also asked what she would do if I kept her and how and if I could trust her again if given a second chance. Surprised by my reaction, she wept, promised to never do it again and repay and presented strategies to document her hours honestly. I agreed and requested that she go home and share with her mom what had happened. She did. Fast forward 2 years, she is one of the most reliable, motivated, trustworthy, and loyal employee who finds purpose and meaning in her work. Thank you Marie for allowing me to share this story. I love you to the moon and back. You are incredible and it's an honour to have you stick by our ALIVE team. The point is that to be human is to be fallable. I believe that we can inspire good in others given the possibility.. What are your unique gifts? Please comment and share. #womenhelpingwomen #honestyisthebestpolicy #riseup #riseabove #inspirationalwomen #entrepreneur #superpower #becoming
