Often times we will correspond for weeks or months working out the details of their vision and when Wedding day rolls around someone else is appointed to pick up the flowers. ... That person is often 'Dad'. When Liseanne's Dad came to the farm as the designated flower man I could tell right away they had a beautiful relationship. He was gushing with excitement but also keeping it together and getting the job done. Sonny loving on this catmint patch started last spring. One of the first plants to bloom up here. Intoxicating, soothing fragrance which I'll be drying for our tea blends. In the evening, if I'm working late in the garden, he runs around following me as I inspect what's growing and what's not, which weeds have taken over, which perennials are thriving. He would never be caught dead in the garden during the day. Sonny sleeps all day on this little bed inside the . Evening is his time to get frisky.

One of the greatest parts of being a #florist is sending your notes of endearment. I love transcribing your well wishes and sentiments along with the flowers. To do this we need beautiful cards. The year is winding down . I want to thank everyone who connected with my business this year. Thank you for making this beautiful dream work. Feeling really good and tired after all of 2020's hoop jumping and abundance. Rainy day wreaths. So thankful for these incredible plants and the joy they spark. Keeps my spirit bright on even the gloomiest, cloudy day. If you've never tried wreath making it's a wholesome activity to try. It's very sensory and an intimate experience with the plants you use.... A tradition as old as the hills and symbolic of the cycles of life and seasons. A reminder that the sun is going to come back around and the herbaceous plants will return.
