Tomorrow, we talk to politicians in the BC Government about our plans for ongoing safety in the personal services industry (salons, spas, barbershops). We ha...ve seen that not all salons are enforcing the guidance around the orders to wear a mask in enclosed spaces - as seen on social media this weekend. All it takes is a few bad apples and we could be forced to shut down in one of the most profitable seasons of the year. We here at the association spent many late nights working on your behalf to convince the province to allow us to stay open. Over 5,000 BeautySafe certifications are active in the province demonstrating some serious professional commitment by so many of you. So far, so good. But we're all on thin ice and we all see the devastating closures across Canada. Mask up. Do your part. Keep your job. #beautycouncil #beautysafe #bcba
