Thirsty Thursday Since yesterday was St. Patty’s day, here is a great drink. Cheers from the World: Ireland... Take a sip and start dreaming! Contrary to assumption, the #ShamrockShake was not invented in Ireland. It was invented in 1967 by Hal Rosen, an American McDonald’s owner, who created the mint shake in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. American’s have long had a deep love for St. Patrick’s Day, and ironically, many St. Patty’s Day traditions began in the U.S. In fact, while Ireland has celebrated St. Patrick since the 1600’s, the first parade was held in America in 1601, predating the founding of the United States, in a Spanish colony that is now St. Augustine, Florida. Boston then held its first parade in 1737, New York City followed in 1762, and the famous Savannah, Georgia parade was first held in 1812. But the love for Ireland and its heritage, deep-rooted cultures and traditions extend to many countries and keep Irish celebrations lasting year after year. Ireland feels like a real-world fairytale with its lush, rolling green hills dotted with white fluffy sheep, historic castles, and stunning vistas. Couple that with a lively and fun atmosphere, cheery locals, music you can’t help but dance to, and an endless number of pubs with ever flowing beer, and it’s no wonder foreigners can’t get enough. Take a sip of your tasty green shake and start dreaming about Ireland. When the time is right, we’ll help you visit in person! #travelonlywithmelaniereid #travel #cocktails #cocktailrecipe #cocktailsofinstagram #instatravel #travelgram #travelinspo #wanderlust #explore #culinarytravel #travelagent #traveladvisor #ensembletravel #ireland #visitireland #europe #visiteurope #stpatricksday #stpattysday #shamrockshake #irishcocktail #world #worldtravel #travelonly #travelonlysteps

Motivational Monday Plan and then explore. The Grotto... The Grotto is a large sea cave with a pool of water. The underwater tunnel extending from the pool inside the cave through the cliff to Georgian Bay gives the water its glowing appearance on sunny days. If you want to swim or snorkel in the aquamarine waters, you’ll have to hike about 30 minutes along the Georgian Bay Trail and then clamber down 12 meters (39 ft) off the open cliff face. The path has numerous shelves and rocks that will help you reach this stunning cave lagoon. The Grotto Northern Bruce Peninsula, ON, Canada
