After many discussions with all our surrounding 4-H leaders, supporting businesses, volunteers, and the Melbourne Agricultural Society Directors, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of our 2020 4-H and Beef Cattle Show and Crop Competition, due to COVID -19 Pandemic. As with all the local Fairs, this was not an easy decision to make, but with all the uncertainty of when the government will begin to allow festival type events to resume, we feel it is the ...right decision to make. As a non-profit organization, sponsorship plays a large part in our ability to provide such an event and we cannot have a successful show without the support of our local organizations. We have been closed since March, as many businesses have been, and we cannot in good conscience ask these businesses for monetary contributions in these financially stressful times. Our Board of Directors felt it was the right thing to do for the members of our community, our sponsors, donors, volunteers and our membership. The Melbourne Agricultural Society would like to wish everyone good health and please stay safe. We will get through this together. We look forward to seeing you at our 2021 4-H & Beef Cattle Show next summer. Melbourne Agricultural Society Members and Directors
