Melfort Daily Scripture Quotes 11.11.2020

I was busy studying my scriptures this morning. I was in a book of Nephi in the Book of Mormon. In 1 Nephi 14, a Angel tells Nephi that he shouldn't write all the things that he saw, only some. In verses 18-36, Nephi gets told that a man (about 600 years later) who would record what Nephi didn't. Within these verses Nephi tells us that the Angel told him that this man was an Apostle of Jesus Christ, and that his name is John. One of the hardest books to read or understand in the Bible would be the book of Revelations. A book accounting a vision/dream that John had. This is what Nephi was told not to record.

"For do we not read that God is the same, yesterday, today and forever, and in him there is no variableness neither shadow of changing?" -- Mormon 9:9 If God can change, then he wouldn't be reliable, or trust worthy and would be a liar. But God doesn't change, and we can fully rely and trust in Him. He is there.... waiting for you to talk to Him. How has God helped you in your life?

"...I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God. 12 Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever." How has God strengthened you?

How has The Atonement helped you in your life?
