It is been a wild ride and I’m happy to see all of my clients again, it has definitely been a process to contact everyone and I am still working on that. In honour of celebrating my 15 years in practice tomorrow..... I’m sharing some great news!!!! I am starting my gradual return to practice!! ... I will be in contact with all of you shortly, starting with the clients I had to cancel when we were closed down. Once I contact you to schedule your appointment I will explain the new protocol I am following. This will include masks, waiting area, screening and several other items that must be discussed. Please be patient with me and my clinic we are all working at different paces, hours and learning new schedules and procedures. A reminder that all is still not ‘normal’ my hours will be a gradual onset, firstly to allow myself to adjust physically and mentally after being off for 3 month. I am working on meeting those requirements and ordering, rearranging all that needs to be done so I may successfully but most importantly safely return to work. ... The new products, steps and procedures are daunting to say the least and unfortunately I must also announce that as of JULY 1/2020, there will be an INCREASE in Massage Therapy session FEES. As follows. 30 min - $55.00 45 min - $70.00 60 min - $85.00 90 min - $120.00 Please if you have concerns or questions as to how this will effect your benefits or ability to afford treatment, contact me personally. Hello all, based on all of the messages you have been sending me over the last few days all of you are as excited for me to be able to be back to work as I am. Please read the following carefully. Thank you. The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) is allowing Massage Therapy practices to resume GRADUALLY. As of now we are only able to treat essential or urgent cases. Essential cases are defined as follows: the client's overall health or function would considerab...ly decline if treatment were not provided, ie; lead to hospitalization or serious health consequences. There is a list of required policies and procedures to implement as well as supplies to purchase, and online training to complete before I will be ready re-open. Please be patient with me as well as all of my colleagues, it will likely be a few more weeks until I am able to see client's again. I will keep you posted. Thank you all for your support Melissa

Hello to all my wonderful clients. Yesterday was an emotional day for all of those in my field of work, and many others. There was some speculation that manual therapies would be part of the reopening announcement, WE WERE NOT! First let me say I miss massaging, I miss my clients and I miss my colleagues. Please be patient, we are all doing our best. Remember to send texts and messages so I know that you are doing well, please reach out as I have been providing some directio...n to clients for self care, and will continue to as long as need be, do not hesitate to ask, my care for clients is not limited to hands on only. There is so much speculation out there from other Provinces and other Regulated Health Care Providers and their colleges, regarding various return to work strategies and precautions including but not limited to the length of treatments, the new screening process, the timing between treatments, the new common area and waiting areas as well as what types of PPE will be needed to safely provide treatments. Please know that as always the health and safety of all clients, myself, my colleagues and of course the family I have waiting at home for me, is of my (and my entire clinics) top priority. We will do whatever is required to keep us all safe and healthy. Unfortunately we have no solid outline as to what the new guidelines will be or what the New Normal for Massage & other hands on therapies will be, I like all of you am continuing to wait. Until my profession receives the go ahead from the government (yesterday it was stated that it’s is still unsure if we will be part of phase 2 or 3), and receive our new Standards of Practice outline from the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, I am unable to provide you all with answers, and unable to give you a timeline. We won’t know for a few more weeks what the changes or restrictions will look like, but know I am ready to get back to work as soon as we are all safely allowed, your health and the health of our families is of the most importance and know that I will not be back until I can assure to the best of my abilities that we are safe.
