To our dear mello fans, We are so happy with all the love that we have received since we opened. As you are aware our store has a cashless policy. Recently, our staff has been harassed and bullied for our policy. Coins have been thrown on our counters and our store counter has been vandalized. There have also been various instances where they were told in a threatening way that the store should start to accept cash. ... This policy is in place to protect the store due to various break-ins during our construction phase. In addition, our front of house staff are actively involved in the preparation of our donuts and baked goods. Therefore it is more efficient and hygienic for them not to handle cash. Mello was opened to share the love of fluffy donuts and good coffee. We want to have a open and happy atmosphere in our store. If you do not agree with our policy you do not have to visit us. At Mello, we take the health and safety of our staff and customers extremely seriously. As the COVID-19 situation develops, we are taking additional precautions to ensure that our shop continues to be a safe and welcoming space for everyone. As always we are a cashless establishment, so staff will not be handling any money. We will also no longer be accepting reusable/personal cups effective immediately. We are open regular hours and our donuts and coffee can also be purchased through various delivery services (Uber Eats, Foodee and DoorDash).
