Do you skip the stretch, or do the stretch? I honestly usually skip it, and then wonder why I am so sore the next day . Lately I’ve been making myself stretch, especially my legs even if it’s only for 5 mins and EVEN if the workout was only 20 mins. #Day2 of @loriharder #LH7DayChallenge is in the books, with an intentional stretching session to finish up . #fitness #goals #yesyoucan #selfcare #takecareofyourbody #excercise #firgirl #bikinibody #operationabs #moveyourbody

Cardio Day! I haven’t done any kind of cardio in the last couple of years and to be honest I have been resisting it out of fear that I won’t be able to run as fast and far as 15 year old me used to do. Resisting the different feelings that will come up. Scared that I will get stuck in the middle of my run unable to move - this happened to me years ago due to a bad back and neck and that was basically the last time I really ran. Through out the years as I was healing, I woul...d attempt to run and it would end with a massive head ache from all of the pounding on my joints. I used to love running, and lately I’ve been feeling the urge to put on my shoes and run out the front door, but then I remind myself that I don’t like running anymore. My cardio is lacking BIG TIME, and one of my current goals is to be able to get my heart rate up, enjoy it and do it with ease. Today is #Day1 of @loriharder s #LH7DayChallenge. I decided to do the workout that I was resisting most first. It was only 20 mins, and I took the opportunity to move my body up a level. Instead of letting myself flop around while I did the movements, I engaged my core and muscles and got so much more out of it.
