Tom Lewis-Available For Bass Lessons Tom has been long time friend and collaborator of many projects with Melody Man Studios and has now made himself available to us to teach bass lessons. Tom grew up in Ajax, Ontario, and since the age of 17 has been a very active performer both nationally and internationally!... Highlights in the 80s include U.S.tours with EMI recording artists The Partland Brothers, sharing stages with international acts The Beach Boys and The Moody Blues and a performance on the Hollywood late night talk show, The Arsenio Hall Show. During this time Tom also recorded and toured with Duke St. MCA artists Eye-Eye. Through a connection with Jeff Healey, Tom joined Amanda Marshall’s band in the early 90s. This eventually led to North American tours with Warner Bros. recording artists Honeymoon Suite and recording an album (Ipso Facto) and USA tours with MCA artist Rik Emmet. Eventually Tom was hired as bassist and Music Director for SONY artist Fefe Dobson. Currently, Tom is touring and recording with classic bands such as Holly Woods & Toronto, Alan Frew/Glass Tiger and Tom Cochrane with Red Rider. Tom is also an inventor and Music Industry product developer. Founding Gigpad Music in 2017, Tom sells his products (Groovpad Drum Practice Pad, Gigpad Leaning Guitar Rest and Wavpad Acoustic Isolation Speaker Pads) online and throughout various Canadian music retailers including Long & McQuade. And oh ya, when time permits...Tom also runs marathons and makes perogies...but not necessarily in that order! We are Very Happy to have Tom join our team of teachers at Melody Man Studios. We are located just south of the highway off of Walkers Line, the studio is a great environment to learn music with excellent pro players here to teach you and customize a program specifically for you!
