Heyy....hope you are all enjoying this glorious LAST long weekend of one heck of a wild summer Just wanted to pop on and let you all know about a few things..... I have been a bit quiet as of late....because you guys have been keeping me soooo busy and I literally could not be any more THANKFUL In saying that, I do want to let you all know that I am booked SOLID for the entire month of September I suggest pre-booking now so that you can get the time spot you want... and will need before Christmas (yes, I said it lol) I also wanted to remind everyone of my cancellation policy...as I have had a few very last minute cancellations lately because "something came up" or "I wrote down the wrong time" I truly love all of my clients and care deeply about their health, however this is just unacceptable. The cancellation policy is in place and will be strictly enforced...this is my livelihood...if you showed up to work and your employer told you last minute you weren't getting a paycheck, I imagine you would feel pretty disappointed too OK...so on a much lighter, happier note....... Melt Massage was awarded a small business recovery grant from the Municipality YAY. After a lot of consideration, I've decided to put the money towards a beautiful new modality that will soon be available in the clinic. I CANNOT wait for you all to experience and enjoy the blissful benefits that it will offer.....updates and the big reveal coming soon

As I prepare to reopen, I wanted to update everyone on what your appointments will look like at Melt moving forward My online booking is open and available for booking appointments; if you feel that you cannot wait until July 2nd (my reopening date), please reach out as I am screening urgent care clients for in clinic visits starting June 15th. You will be required to complete pre-screening electronically in order to complete online booking. If booking by ...phone, you will be screened before an appointment is made. You will be screened again upon arrival; you will be asked a series of questions relating to Covid & have your temperature taken. If staff feel that you are unsafe to treat, or your temperature is elevated (beyond 37.8) your treatment will be rescheduled. You must wear a mask into the clinic, and during your treatment. If you feel uncomfortable wearing a mask while face down, we can discuss other options If you do not have a mask, a cloth, reusable mask will be provided to you for your visit. If you are looking to purchase reusable masks, let me know, I have a few leads on some great ladies that make them. I will be wearing a mask also You will be asked to sanitize your hands upon entry into the clinic. Hand sanitizer will be available as soon as you enter, or you can visit the restroom and wash with soap and water You will be asked to sanitize hands prior to departure as well. A considerable amount of time has been blocked off after each treatment to ensure the clinic can be properly sanitized. As a result, fewer appointments will be available. Pre-booking is highly recommended. If you are an existing client, please arrive at your appointment no more than 5 minutes before your scheduled time. If you are a new client, please arrive no more than 10 minutes before your scheduled time. This allows time for sanitation and decreases the possibility of too many people in the clinic at once. Contact-less payment is preferred at this time. Melt will continue to monitor for updates or changes set out by Chatham-Kent Public Health, the CMTO and the Government of Ontario, and implement them as needed. The safety of my family, my clients and my business is of the upmost importance. Well the direction from my governing body, and what has been put out there by media vary greatly. The CMTO says:... "Prioritize clients with essential care needs while gradually resuming practice. Massage Therapy treatment is considered essential when the clients overall health or function would considerably decline if treatment were not provided (i.e. lead to hospitalization or other serious health consequences). " Very few patients across Ontario will fall into this guideline. Many of our experts are believing that 95%, or more, of Ontario massage therapy patients will possibly be disqualified from meeting this criterion. So, much to everyone's disappointment, Melt will not be "Business as Usual" right away. Starting June 15th, I will be screening patients who feel they fall into the category of urgent, essential care and moving forward on an individual basis, either giving recommendations that can be completed at home, or making appointments in the clinic. Following the "gradual restart" recommendations, I have opened my online booking system to everyone for July 2nd with limited spaces and times, as well as added screening protocols. This allows everyone to book in for their much needed (but not urgent) treatment that we have all been waiting for. Please be mindful however, that this can change at any time as rules and requirements are frequently changing. This time frame allows me to complete all necessary measures as set out by the CMTO; to ensure safety and comfort to everyone that visits Melt Massage Therapy. I appreciate everyone's ongoing and continued support through this wild ride!! I am looking forward to seeing everyone soon

Good Afternoon beautiful humans!!! Just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing....its been soooo long Other provinces across Canada are slowly rolling out new rules & safety measures for RMT'S to be able to go back to work safely...... All joking aside (because obviously we aren't even close to being Drs), how would you feel if this is how I walked back into your room for a treatment??? Kinda scary if you ask me This is essentially (minus the booties and hood) the required PPE for RMT'S in provinces like Sask & Newfoundland, to be able to provide a massage safely along with other rules like no elbow or forearm use Ontario hasn't rolled anything out for us as of yet, but if this is the new treatment protocol, how many of you are going to be running out for treatment?? Hope you are all so well and I do hope to be seeing you safely and comfortably in the near future, in my beautiful new space

Melt Massage is continuing to follow guidelines set by the Government of Ontario and also from my governing body, the CMTO. The office remains closed at this time, in an effort to stop the spread of Covid19. All April appointments are cancelled, and emails have been sent out. There has been no word or further communication regarding possible dates to safely open my d...oors. We are in this together CK!!! I really didnt want to jump on the "I am amping up my cleaning protocols" bandwagon, but here is my bit anyway I have always followed strict sanitation and cleaning regiments. I clean and sanitize surfaces in the clinic all day, everyday (including door knobs and lotion bottles ). I ALWAYS wash my hands before and after treatments. It is my policy and always has been. I am healthy and ready to continue to treat you. I do ask that if you are not healthy, or have traveled in the last 14 days, please stay home and we will reschedule your treatment

Good Evening, I am writing this communication with a heavy heart, and under the strong recommendation from the CMTO. **Effective immediately, Melt Massage will be suspending all treatments until further notice. This was a difficult decision; however, it is the most responsible and in the very best interest of my family and my community. Now, more than ever, we need to stand together and do our part to flatten the curve of COVID-19.
