Membertou Social Clients Please be advised that the Membertou Social Department will be issuing cheques on December 17, 2020 for the December 25, 2020 welfare day, due to the holiday. We will not be mailing any local cheques out for the week of December 17th, due to the high volume of Christmas mail, as we are nervous they wouldn't arrive in time.... Everyone is advised to pick up their cheques at MTCC from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on December 17, 2020. On December 18, 2020, staff will be busy hand delivering local cheques that were not picked up. Please note this does not affect the December 11, 2020 cheques. They will be distributed as usual. Thank you. - Joan Denny & Membertou Social Department

Remembering Connie at Christmas This year has presented many challenges, but the one thing the pandemic does not impact, is the spirit of the community. Our beloved Connie Osbourne is especially missed during the holiday season. Her unwavering dedication to every child in Membertou seeing the true magic of Christmas will never be forgotten. Although we cannot celebrate at the Gingerbread Parade this year, we remember and honour Connie's legacy. A legacy that embodies the... meaning of the holiday season; giving back to others. Connie's contributions to the community are still felt today, and always will be at this time of the year
