When we are quiet When we are alone and quiet we think deeper thoughts. When we explore those thoughts we uncover buried ideas and feelings we pushed away some time ago. We remember who we are. The music seems sweeter, the colours more vibrant, and hope is stronger.... In every circumstance we are faced with, we learn, adapt and react. We surprise ourselves with our resilience. Being human takes on new meaning when we realize our strength and the difference we can make. We begin to question our existence and instinctively from a depth deep within our souls we know we must love. That is the basic necessity. There is no price affixed to it, and there is no expectation imposed by it. Honest and pure, that’s all there is to it. How often have we thought that if only we could stop time we will find peace? Well here it is. Time has stopped, so drink it all in with no regrets. Let’s not forget the beauty in quiet solitude. Touch it, feel it, and discover your true self. It is an exciting time. Who are you?

There is nothing as strong as her. There is nothing as soft as her. There is nothing that gives more than her. There is nothing that loves more than her.... We call her "Mother." This Mother's Day, show the mothers in your life how special they are. Memorybloom.ca #mothersday #mothersdaygift

Beautiful thought I was writing a corporate bio for someone who does a lot of humanitarian work in feeding the homeless and conducting many youth leadership programs along with his day to day operations. While gathering his highlights over the phone he mentioned that his mother passed away many years ago and it is because of her charitable works in feeding the hungry in her community that he is driven to do the same. ... We veered off his corporate topic for a few minutes while he talked about his mother. He opened up to me while I listened. His voice immediately changed from a professional tone to a softer heartwarming tone. It was very apparent the love and respect that he has for his mother. He told me something that touched me deeply. As he is of the Muslim faith, one of the beliefs is that when you do a good deed on earth, the angels fly down and take that good deed up to heaven so that your loved one receives many gifts through your gesture. What a beautiful thought!

I hope. What an amazing gift of time we have been given to stop and think, to read, to learn, to see and to feel. Amidst the chaos in the world and within ourselves we have the time now to be a human being. There is no rush of a commute to work that usually turn us into a blind and numb flock of sheep in the transit system. No road rage due to heavy traffic while people rush due to shortage of time. I’m sure we are spending less on items we don’t really need and consuming... food that we have in our pantries that we have pushed to the back. We have the time to look at who we are. What are your dreams and passions? How would you like to grow? How can you help others? What can you teach your children? How will you show your love? Perhaps during this time in self-isolation we will learn that we don’t need a bigger home, fancier car, or better clothes. And when the ban has been lifted and we can safely come out, I hope that we don’t forget how we survived without the things that had driven us to live blindly. I hope our compassion to give during these times will continue to live on. I hope that leaders will realize the value of their people. I hope. #selfisolation #socialdistancing #compassion #life #love #humanleaders #leadership

You are your brand, but who are you? My passion is Legacy writing and through my brand @Memorybloom.ca I capture people’s stories by creating memories that live forever. I recently attended a workshop on How to network for business, and a part of the exercise was to come up with one meaningful word (or compound word) that my clients would use to describe me and my work. ... With the input from other attendees the word that was chosen is Heart-Healing. I love it!!! #yourstory #legacy #memorybloom.ca #family
