Feeling super excited! Let me re-introduce myself :) I'm a registered social service worker and I have had many years of experience in the non profit sector as a therapeutic counsellor, front line worker and advocate. After starting my PhD, I decided it was time to go back into practice, but this time on my own, so I opened a private practice (currently virtual) called Mending Minds. Ethically, I feel therapy should be accessible to anyone, so I've listed with affordabl...e therapy network because I want future clients to know my rates are flexible. While I work with a varied demographic of clients, my passion is working with those who are struggling with the emotional effects of chronic illness, anxiety and trauma. if you or someone you know is struggling, feel free to reach out, or pass my name along. I am liscenced to work with clients in ON, MT, BC, SK ,NL&L, PEI, NT, NWT, YK Canada. https://affordabletherapynetwork.com/therapists/susan-cape/ #therapy #therapistsofinstagram #psychotherapy #counselling ##privarepractice #socialworker #affordablecounselling #chronicillness #migrainesupport #spoonielife #disability #chronicdisability #anxiety #depression #trauma #mentalhealth #addiction #support See more

Who else struggles with staying in the moment? Especially during times of distress we can easily find ourselves locked into patterns of thinking that keep us stuck in the past (woulda, shoulda, coulda thinking) and/or we can become preoccupied by worries about our future (what if thinking). Mindfulness therapeutic techniques teach us how to stay grounded in the present. It helps us to manage overwhelming thoughts and feelings so that we don't find ourselves trapped in our ...past or our future. If you're struggling with this and want to talk to someone, reach out. [email protected] is accepting new clients virtually from Ontario, BC, SK, MT, NF, PEI, NT, YK, and NWT. Susan Cape brings to her practice over 15 years of experience working with diverse client populations such as those struggling with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, anger, relationship issues, agoraphobia, addiction ect. Hi everyone. I'm thinking about running an online seeking safety group which is a structured 24 week group program for women struggling with trauma and addiction. This is a first phase trauma group focused on safety that I have significant experience running within an addiction treatment context. Sessions would be 10$/week (or $240 for the entire program). The group would be open to Canadian clients from ON, MT, BC, SK, NL &L, PEI and the territories. If you have any clients who might be interested please put them in touch with [email protected]
