"Those monsters at the door". Humans are under the presumption that facing our hard emotions such as: Anger, Grief or Sadness are "monsters" at our door that we need to keep avoiding. In reality guys, it's just energy that wants to be released from your body. When we ignore this energy thinking we are being strong or protecting ourselves, we are actually just drawing this pain out to last longer. ... This is because emotions get stored in our body and, when we chose to not recognize them and actually feel their physical sensation to release them. Unfortunately, the emotion gets bigger and bigger... and then BIGGER until we have no choice, but to face it head on, this happens when we lack tools and understanding, then these emotions end up rocking us on our side. Take 4mins every morning you wake up to focus on nothing, but your gut. 80% of your emotions start as a physical sensation in this region, and when you have awareness of your gut, you can literally feel the emotion and release it in 90 seconds to 2mins, just by focusing on the sensation in your gut. BUT you need to build awareness of your gut, by doing this GUT AWARENESS TECHNIQUE everyday, and build it like a muscle. As a kid I was bullied maliciously, and found music like Linkin Park that told my story. I didn't know it at the time, because I lacked awareness of my thoughts and emotions.. But looking back at some of my favorite songs from my childhood.. Its very clear that I can see the pain shrouded in much of what I was listening too. Unfortunately, one of my favorite musicians front man for Linkin Park, Chester Bennington... took his life due to his emotional pain. Lyrics from one of my favorite songs from him read like this: "I want to heal, I want to feel Like I'm close to something real I want to find something I've wanted all along Somewhere I belong" It's very important to be mindful of the music you're listening to, it's our sanctuary, our home, but it's also a symptom of how we are internally feeling with our emotions. Even if you dont know what's going on, look to your music for clarity, you never know what you will find. #mentalhealthsimplified #suicideprevention #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthadvocate #mentalhealthmatters #suicidepreventionawarenessmonth

The last six months I've lost 60 pounds, and made fitness a crucial component on my journey of healing and growing. I was a trainer before and super intense with my training, and always consistent with my nutrition and gym time, but then the darkness started creeping back in, when I started losing people working in suicide prevention. My heart was very hurt, and I lost that passion, and unfortunately training became an irritance, rather than a sanctuary. Six years ago it was ...my saving grace, my very first tool that kept me alive, and six months ago the exact same thing. Fitness has always been the gateway keeper to my soul, because I know when I'm pushing myself hard that it's physical living proof that I love myself, and its pretty tough to hate who you are, when you see the results in the mirror of all the hours you clock in. Start training, Start believing, Start today. You won't regret it, I believe in you. From my heart. #mentalhealthsimplified #inspire #purpose

People will judge you if you think you're perfect or you think you're flawed. Stop caring what others think, and focus on reconnecting with what you feel about yourself. You're the driver of you're own life, everyone else is just a passing spectator. #mentalhealthsimplified

As children we are innocent, and our hearts are filled with curiosity and imagination, but without the appropriate amount of wisdom and guidance, our innocence slowly deteriorates until we are no longer who we are anymore. Before we know it, we are present in a dark forest with no path on the horizon. It's terrifying and we dont wish to be here alone so we gravitate towards anyone we can in these dark parts of this existence. We find tools of self avoidance to mask our emotio...nal pain, and create a make shift sanctuary inside this dark forest, knowing it will consume us again at any time. Sometimes the pain becomes too much, and a portal to the otherside appears, when we had enough of feeling this way. Which ignites momentary hope and inspiration to allow us the courage to crawl back onto the path, and return home to the light. Once we leave the dark forest, and discover ourselves again, this is when we realize this spiritual detour was a blessing, and that the wisdom we lacked as a child is now readily available in our hearts. Please share this wisdom with your brothers and sisters who still cannot find their way home. #mentalhealthsimplified #gobackforthem
