Winter driving means the possibility of getting stuck in slick spots, but there's a simple solution to safely getting on the move. Keep some clay cat litter in your trunk! When slush and ice means your tires can't get good grip, sprinkle the litter near your tires and it will serve as traction to get you out of a messy situation. You'll soon be on the way to your final destination.

Wet socks are the worst, especially at this time of year. It's important you carry around an extra pair just in case you step in a puddle or a deep pile of snow. It might seem obvious, but an extra pair of socks can keep you warm and comfortable all the way until spring.
