Here it is! Our theme for week one of virtual camp this summer is... SPACE IS THE PLACE We are so excited to announce that our headlining guest for week one of camp will be Bethany Downer! Read about Bethany here:... "Bethany Downer, 27, is joining Camp E-aster Seals during Space is the Place week. Bethany is a space scientist and an astronaut candidate! In her work, she brings "rocket science" to the general public as a public communicator for the space industry. She believes that space is for everyone, and that starts with helping people to understand what space technology and space science are all about! Bethany is the Chief Communications Officer for the Hubble Space Telescope for the European Space Agency." Each week this summer will have a special theme and a special guest that coincides with the theme! As summer approaches we will be announcing more of our weekly themes and exciting guests. Keep in mind that each week will have themed programming and general programming, you definitely do not need any prior knowledge/ interest in a given theme to get the most out of camp! Many in our group hope to go on to compete in Boccia in the future, many are excited to learn something new, and we all agreed that we were looking forward to getting active and making new friends!
