With this building being quite visible to the general public, FortisBC wanted us to add a vinyl wrap graphic to the exterior. Fun Fact Friday: In 2018 MBG was contracted by the City of Surrey to provide the structural steel design of the proposed Cloverdale Sport & Ice Complex. The brilliant team of TKA+D and RDH Architects created the architectural vision of this beautiful community recreational facility however this project was postponed indefinitely due to a change in priorities of local government which saw funding reallocated to other city projects. MBG was contracted by Ledcor to build the Maintenance Shop (20,500 SF) and Parts Warehouse (12,300 SF) for Brandts new equipment dealership in Fort St. John, BC. The Maintenance Shop was designed to support (2) 15 tonne and (2) 10 tonne bridge cranes to accommodate the heavy lifting requirements of servicing their customers heavy equipment. To meet the high thermal demands of the North, MBG installed a roof deck with a fiberglass cavity fill built-up Standing Seam Roof system on top.

This Building was built in Fort St. John as part of BC Hydros Site C Hydroelectric Dam Project which is located on the Peace River in northeastern BC. This 12,900 SF building had to meet the stringent Post-Disaster design standards and used an open web truss design to better accommodate lighting and ducting requirements. The building also utilized Metl-Span Insulated Metal Panels for the roof and walls and all the structural steel was galvanized per BC Hydros request.

This goes back a few years, but we thought we would still share this project which were so proud to have been a part of. This build is at Vancouver International Airport for the YVR Airside Operations Parking Garage.

This 5,000 SF facility was built for our client Deep Earth Farms for a small batch whisky distillery located in Lindell Beach, BC. The owner wanted to create a space where customers could come and enjoy whiskey tastings on site where their product is produced. The retail side of the building features two large store front glazing systems to really open up the tasting room to the natural beauty of its surroundings. The building utilizes Varco Prudens Standing Seam Roof and their Reverse Panel Rib wall system to clad the exterior.

For this years day of giving the team at Metal Building Group was honoured to partner with the team at First United, through their meal sponsorship program, to provide and serve breakfast and lunch to the residents of the downtown east side. MBG would like to commend First United for their noticeable care and services they provide on an on-going basis to their community and MBG was grateful to be a part of that call to service!

MBG Community Support Day 2017 So proud of our team for making over 600 fresh sandwiches yesterday and then distributing approximately 400 of them together with hot chocolate and water to the homeless and impoverished people on the streets of Vancouvers Downtown Eastside. Also a big thanks to First United - Vancouver Downtown Eastside who supported us outside their facility on East Hastings Street and to who we donated 200 sandwiches for distribution by First United later to those in need.

A big thank you to Cedar Valley Hops for inviting us to the opening of your new processing building. It was a pleasure working with you to construct this building!

The U.S. Department of Defense is testing Metal Roof Technology Integrating Renewable Energy and Sustainability Features to transform some of its 577,500 buildings and structures into state-of-art energy-saving powerhouses, by retrofitting old buildings with new high-tech roofing systems.

The new hangar and office facility at Vector Aerospace will feature VP Clearspan Rigid Frames in the Hangar, VP Single Slope Rigid and Leanto frames in the office, a 24g Standing Seam (SSR) roof and 26g Vee-Rib Wall.
