At last month's Ground Search Team Leader course, BrightSource Lighting donated a set of lighting equipment. We're looking forward to installing the lightbar on our command vehicle and the safety light will be helpful for those calls where we have to set up in a pullout.

Although we are not able to pay our respects in person today, those who have fallen protecting our country are still in our thoughts.

Our search and rescue effort was suspended at 10pm last night. JDF SAR, Metchosin SAR, PEMO and Cowichan SAR worked together, and over 3 full days covered the... area around Beecher Bay. We worked with lots of community and family members and had assistance from RCM- SAR for 2 long days, (along with local boaters), 2 RCMP dog teams and a helicopter search team. Yesterday afternoon, multiple tips were reported to the RCMP with unconfirmed sightings in Victoria. Police are following up and their investigation continues. You can help us by spreading the "Missing Person" posters on your social media, and by asking everyone to keep an eye out for Raymona. Call 911 if you have any information. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mona, her family and the Beecher Bay Community.

Have You Seen High-Risk Missing Man Christopher McAloney? File: 20-40048 Patrol officers are asking for your assistance as we work to locate high-risk missing m...an Christopher McAloney. Chris is described as a 33-year-old Caucasian man with short dark brown hair that is curly on top and green eyes. Chris is five feet, eight inches tall with a medium build. He often has a full, dark brown beard. Chris has a tattoo reading 13 on his lower right neck. A recent photograph of Chris is below. Chris is often associated with a green 2001 Dodge Caravan. The last time officers can determine that Chris was seen was in April 2020. His family are concerned for him and officers are working to locate him so they can know he is safe. The circumstances under which Chris has gone missing are considered high-risk, however officers do not have an indication that he is at immediate risk of harm or presents an immediate risk of harm to others. Plea...se keep an eye out for all our volunteers and drive slowly in the area as we have people searching along the road sides. (East Sooke Rd, Beecher Bay Road, Pedder Bay Road, Matheson Lake Park Road and Rocky Point Road). See more
