We are so excited to announce our Digital Work MOTHER sound/body June 15th 7 PM... An exploration digital body mapping through sensor technology, this piece uses movement sensors to map out the performance environment and music. The choreography creates the sound and lighting patterns while composer Jon Russell morphs these narratives into various sound and light scapes. Method Dance Society is committed to our community’s safety including the health and well-being of our dancers. Collaboration is essential to Method’s mission and having these dancers move together is something extremely special for them and our community. Although COVID-19 has impacted the structure of our practice we have found new ways of practicing that generate innovative structures in movement. The dancers in our company follow strict spacing protocols and respect soci...al distancing and sanitization procedures. They operate within their own bubbles and we are so happy that we have been able to get them back in their bodies and moving together. We know many people in our community are new to contemporary dance and so we want to share a little more of our process with you. Over the next few weeks we will be sharing some photos and videos of our choreographic development and process in studio. We hope this will provide our community with more insight into the foundations of our practice and the ways in which we are working together to get through this difficult time.
