Important Announcement METROTOWN ISLAMIC SOCIETY Date: 2nd April, 2020 6125 Sussex Ave, Burnaby, BC V5H 4G1 [email protected]... https://www.facebook.com/metroislamic http://aliman.ca/ To Respective Community Members Regarding: Cancellation of all activities including both regular & Friday Prayers In light of recent announcements by the health authorities on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the board of directors of Metrotown Islamic Society would like to advise the community that effective immediately all prayers including Friday prayers (jumuah) are suspended until further notice. All other programs in the premises of the Metrotown Islamic Society including all educational activities are also suspended until further notice. Please take into account of the hadith of our prophet Muhammad (SM): It was related on the authority of Abu Sa’id Sa’d bin Malik bin Sinan al-Khudri (RadhiyAllahu ‘anhu) that the Messenger of Allah (SallaAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said: There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm This decision is taken in safeguarding the health of all the community members. We highly advise to continue to do your prayers at your homes and make dua in seeking the refuge of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala. May Allah make it easy for all of us.
