Mark this nature adventure down as a must-see from October to December every yearl. The hatchery is located directly west of the Coquitlam City Centre Aquatic Complex. It is only a 1,000 foot walk away from the parking lot. You can also park at Douglas College, City Hall and the Coquitlam Centre Mall. Hoy Creek is home to 5 different species of Salmonoids. Deer Lake Park has always been one of our favorite places to get away from the woes of work and drama. At this time of the year, it is one of the most beautiful and convenient places in Burnaby BC to take a walk, run or bike and enjoy the vibrant colors of Fall. The Geese were flying in V formation, the ducks were happily quacking away while foraging for food in the lake.
