UofT Mental Health Policy Council 18.12.2020

U of T's Black Students' Association (BSA) is organizing a ton of student wellness-boosting programming, including a discussion named #BSAChat that's all about mental health in the black community. That's happening TODAY from 6-8 PM EST! And for anyone interested in black study spaces (Wednesdays from 6-10 PM EST until Dec. 16th), mentorship programs (linktr.ee/uoftbsa), and career symposiums (January 15th & 16th 2021): the BSA's social media + the linktree above are Key

Hey everyone! We received a request earlier today from the Project Manager, Strategic Initiatives of Health and Wellness, Katie Bobra, regarding help with circulating the beta version of H&W’s new website. Feedback is due tomorrow (Friday Nov 13) at 12 pm. If folks have a minute to check this out and then email any feedback to [email protected], this would be much appreciated! You are also welcome to CC [email protected] and/or forward your emailed feedback to student... orgs like the MHPC. Further instructions can be found below: The University of Toronto Mental Health Redesign Team (www.provost.utoronto.ca/planning-pol/student-mental-health/) is in the process of creating and launching a new student mental health website and we need your help! Each campus has been encouraged to invite groups of test users, especially students, to take part in the testing. We are writing to ask for your help in sharing the testing the site with students prior to the launch. To keep the launch on track, their testing window closes on Friday this week. Here is the link beta site that is being tested now: https://uofsmh.wpengine.com/. The site was designed to hold very little content, but rather, act as a gateway to the existing sites and web information. This is in response to students saying they know there is support but they just can't find it. The website will be promoted as a gateway to the mental health resources, programs, services, and events that are available to students. Any feedback is most welcome, and they are pleased to receive whatever amount of feedback you can provide. Examples of feedback could include content design, navigation, and user friendliness. Students can send their feedback directly to me via email by 12:00 PM on Friday, November 13th. Health & Wellness will consolidate the feedback and send it to Mental Health Redesign Team. No individual identifiers will be included.
