At this time some of you may have already been made aware of the Minister of Health stating that Health Care Professionals are allowed to open up business again. This is exciting news, but it was also misrepresented by the media outlets. Massage Therapy is Governed by the CMTO, who have released their updated mandate for our therapists to follow. The Minister of Health has advised that Massage Therapists and Acupuncturists can gradually restart practice, prioritizing essentia...l care needs. There is guidance to what this means, which we must follow to ensure the safety of all of our Clinicians, staff, visitors, and all patients, during this time. We will likely have sweeping changes that will be coming into effect over the next while, to which we will update you when we can. Some items will be: - Your therapist will be required to wear a surgical mask during all treatments and interactions with you. It is also highly recommended that all clients bring, and wear, a mask in the clinic as well (can be cloth or surgical, as long as it fully covers the mouth and nose). We have decided to make this mandatory as we take our staff and clients safety very seriously. You will be required to wear this mask at all times unless lying face down on the massage table. - Clients will be asked to wait in their car for their confirmed appointment. They will be directed in when the therapist is ready. They will be ushered directly into their treatment space. Only those with appointments will be permitted to enter the facility. - We will not accept walk-ins at this time. - There will be additional screening necessary for each appointment to ensure the safety of anyone that enters the clinic space. We have to consider protecting the most at-risk individuals who entrust us with their care. We do not have a finalized "opening date", and each therapist will open their schedule as they see fit for them. Our staff's comfort and safety is important to all of us. We are aware some places are taking patients starting as early as Monday. To us, we cannot, in good consciousness, confirm an opening date with such short notice from the CMTO. It is our number one priority to protect our patients and staff. We will not settle for less than being at our best, and have everything required in place. We owe that to you above everything else. We will continue to propel ourselves forward and look forward to opening our doors to you very soon. We have been wondering how you're coping with the pandemic lockdown. Dandelion Smoothie!! Dandelions are just around. Get them from Un-sprayed sources. Liver cleansing. A nice versatile spring bitter!... Kind of ironic considering Im a TCM practitioner. We generally dont recommend cold. Which is why I allow this smoothie to come to at least room temperature. Of course Spring & Summer do call for slightly more cooling nature and temperature foods:) Here is my morning wake up. I would have used more dandelion, but I used some in a salad yesterday and too late to pick more 1 cup dandelion leaves and flowers. 1/3 cup frozen blueberries. 1/2 banana 1/4 cup hemp seeds. 1 tsp collagen 1 cup almond milk 1 cup water *add other protein powder if you like. *I did at the end shoot it up with some MCT oil! Blend. Drink. Enjoy!

I have made almond paté for some of you over the years. It's one of my go-to contributions at gatherings. I thought this might be a good time to share the recip...e, in case you're going a little 'COVID crazy' and want to mix up your diet a little, or if you've ever wondered what vegan paté would taste like. This is a great snack or appetizer. It offers fibre, protein, vitamins A, B2, B9, C, E, and K, calcium, copper, iron, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, antioxidants, and if you go with the vegan (eggless mayo) option, is very low in cholesterol. This morning I made a breakfast for champions & chocolate lovers! Chocolate pudding:) 1 ripe avocado ... 1/2 can coconut cream 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder (more if you like super chocolate) Honey - I added 2 tablespoons but check with your sweet tooth! A dash of salt A splash of vanilla Blend till creamy. More or less liquid and cocoa will determine how thick the pudding is. For extra health benefits add seeds & fruits & eat for breakfast, lunch, snack & dinner. You are all adults here.

Wednesday's recipe, today straight from Alison Tunley's breakfast nook to your kitchen.. Sweet Potato, Egg and Avocado Brekkie One sweet potato sliced thinly... Half an avocado 1-2 boiled eggs, sliced Salt and pepper to taste Optional: Cilantro, spring onions, cayenne, or whatever else you like the taste of! 1. Preheat oven to 350 2. Slice sweet potatoes thinly(ish) and pierce with a fork 3. Place on lightly oiled pan and place into the oven for 5 minutes. Flip and see if theyre cooked. Keep checking until theyre done. I really dont know how long this takes because its morning and Im likely still caffeinating. 4. Remove from oven and spread mashed up avocado on top of sweet potatoes. 5. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste 6. Place sliced egg atop avocado. Sprinkle with more salt and pepper if you want. Top with optional garnishing if you want. This is your brekkie so make it your kind of yum. 7. Eat. Sip coffee. Have another sip of coffee. Your day is now good to go!

Who's ready for Tuesday's recipe? Straight from the kitchen of Linda Utting try not to drool when you read the recipe :) Vegan Fudge Brownies 1-1/2 cups unbleached flour... 1/2 cup cocoa 1-1/2 cups brown sugar 1-1/2 tsp baking soda 3/4 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 3/4 cup coffee 3/4 cup cashew, soy or almond milk 1/3 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup carob or dark chocolate (non-dairy) chips Preheat oven to 350F. Prepare 9"x9" pan by greasing and then lining with parchment paper. Sift together dry ingredients (except choc chips). In separate bowl mix wet ingredients. Combine wet with dry and mix well. Pour batter into prepared pan, sprinkle top with choc chips and bake 25-30 min or until inserted toothpick comes out clean. Cool cake on wire rack. Once cool cut into 12 squares. Enjoy!

Happy Sunday! And what a beautiful day it is! This week we will be featuring a new recipe every day from the MiBody crew. Today's recipe is... Squash a la Lucie ... 1. Cut butternut squash in half and pre-bake 30 min 350 degrees 2. Mix feta, pesto, sun dried tomatoes and garlic (l love garlic so l put about 4 cloves) season with pepper (no salt because feta is very salty) You can use any leftover veggies as well e.g peppers, brocolli Stuff and bake another 30 minutes.
