STAFF SPOTLIGHT Meet Karen, she started with us twelve years ago and is an Early Childhood Educator in the Fries Tallman Room. We admire her gentle caring nature, respectfulness towards the children, Moms and staff, and her good musical ear. Her favourite things about MICC are learning and playing alongside the children, developing relationships with the Moms and staff; having active work days; and being active outdoors in nature with the children. In her spare time, Karen enjoys taking long walks or hikes with her beloved Puppa Dog Marley where they always seem to have an adventure. She is also passionate about rescuing animals and spends a lot of her time in the garden and with her family.

STAFF SPOTLIGHT Meet Edie, she has been in Early Childhood Education for seventeen years and for thirteen of those years, with Mackenzie Infant Care Centre. As the Executive Director of our centre, she has many things we admire about her. Edie has the ability to always see things from each point of view, and she leads by example demonstrating compassion, patience and her knowledge of education and Motherhood. Edie is thankful for her supportive staff, and enjoys seeing the Mothers grow in many areas while they work towards their goals. For her, graduation day is a day that fills her heart. Edies' number 1 interest are her four children, their spouses and her ten grandchildren. In her spare time, she will travel, read, sew or crochet, which she finds relaxing.

Our annual Christmas lunch was today. It looked a little different this year but we did it! Thank you to all, especially Kori. We fed the children, Teen Mothers, SSSC staff and our staff. Happy Holidays! #mackenzieinfantcare #christmas2020 #educationispower #regina

STAFF SPOTLIGHT Meet Jenelle, she has been with us for eight years and is the Supervisor in our Optimist room. We admire her practical approach at work and her fun loving nature. She enjoys the babies and her awesome coworkers the most at Mackenzie Infant Care Centre. In her spare time, Jenelle obsesses over music and dancing. You may find her secretly dancing or dancing at inopportune times. Jenelle along with her husband enjoys Halloween and dressing up in ridiculous costumes. A fun fact about Jenelle is her fear of birds; she hopes to never encounter a flock while out on a walk. Doing something she loves while helping students complete their education is great opportunity for her.

STAFF SPOTLIGHT Meet Vicki (that's me)! I returned to MICC in 2018 after being away for about eight years. I am the Assistant Director/Administrative Assistant, and my co-workers admire my positive and encouraging attitude. Although I spend most of my time in the office, I truly love being on the floor with the children. I am proud to be a part of a team of Early Childhood Educators who are committed to delivering high quality care and education, and to collaborate with t...he compassionate and dedicated staff from the Shirley Schneider Support Centre for the success of our Teen Mothers. I enjoy non-fiction, live theater and I am pretty much up for any adventure. My most terrifying experience has been a solo skydive jump and my most thrilling experience has been scuba diving. I share my life with my husband of 15 years, our two children and our two pups. See more

Meet Stevie, they have been with us for three years and they are an Early Childhood Educator in the Fries Tallman room. We admire their confidence and their passion for inclusion and acceptance. After starting their career as a casual, six years ago, they realized they wanted to pursue a diploma in ECE. As there are many beautiful things they love about working at Mackenzie Infant Care Centre, Stevie appreciates the teamwork, getting to know the families and continual learning about child development and interests. Stevie enjoys long boarding, skiing and visual arts in their spare time. They also advocate for human rights and are continuing their education at the U of R in Sociology. Stevie is so grateful to have the opportunity to work in a loving and warm educational environment.

STAFF SPOTLIGHT Meet Tanya, she has been with us for eleven years and is an Early Childhood Educator in our Optimist room. We admire her dedication, along with her experience and knowledge of twenty years in this field. For her, working at Mackenzie Infant Care Centre is such a joy. Tanya's favourite thing (besides the babies) is working with the Moms and seeing them succeed. The Shirley Schneider Support Centre will always be special to her since she was a teen student parent who attended this programs. Tanya adores her three children and three grandchildren. She is a huge sports fan and spends much of her time cheering on her boys who play lacrosse, football and hockey (which is her favourite). Tanya likes to try new adventures and so far the best adventure has been white water rafting.
