Here's my latest column in The Toronto Star's Wheels section about what to consider when choosing a home charger (#EVSE). #ev #charging #chargingstation https://www.thestar.com//ev-101-deciding-what-you-need-for

Started a weekly EV column in the Wheels print section and online here. All about living with an EV, painful lessons learned, and what to look out for if you’re in the market, as our family is again. Will look at choosing a charger, estimating cost savings (and extra costs re home charging stations), and the unvarnished pluses and minuses involved. https://www.thestar.com//heres-what-youre-in-for-and-shoul

Talk about a great day at the office...after driving the upcoming Porsche Taycan GTS Sport Turismo through mountain canyon roads just outside of LA, we ended up here. And did this, with Taycan GTS sedans.

I may have missed a couple late ‘21 arrivals, from niche EV makers though. https://electricautonomy.ca///canadian-ev-tracker-q4-2021/

My journey from early BEV adopter (no gas), to plug-in hybrid driver (roughly running half gas, half electric, as per pic), which I’m very glad I did. https://www.wheels.ca//opinion-why-i-went-from-an-ev-back/

The iX seemed impressive up close, and a decent value for the price. Driving it will have to be amazing to get over that grille though. And lack of AM radio still annoys too.

That's not gold-coloured paint runoff on the Polestar 2's cross-drilled rotors on this Performance Pack-equipped tester. That's a thin layer of surface rust, which was formerly removed by a constant touch of pad drag, but which was found to slightly decrease range, according to Polestar's PR maestro John Paolo Canton. So it was removed, via the last Polestar 2 over-the-air update, he said. #EV #AJACecoMonth
