Interesting day...another windmill debate. Managed to get accused of having my mind made up by both pro and con supporters...in the end, council decided to hear deputations and hold off on a decision until more information is received. Falling a bit behind in my updates...will try to set aside some time to get caught up.

We got to a zero percent increase in the budget last night...

Ad and Fi meeting saw my bid to have the windmill building permit costs revisited on the basis of fairness defeated--see discussion to let me know your comments and views

So far so good, we got a list of items we can axe to bring the tax rise down to .8 percent. Some of it will be very unpopular...but so it goes. There does seem to be a sense building that we can do this--although too many people are still saying it is a bad idea on general principle.
