These images were from a lovely project depicting the craft of bookbinding. Thank you again James Ireland ( St. James) and Barb Wooley ( a rising star at the time) for amazing art direction and design. And thanks to Donald Taylor Book Binder for showing me the book binding process and for most of these props. #flashbackfriday #photography #bookbinding #design #artdirection

#advertising #design hashtag#campaigns Throwback Thursday... I presented some of my B&W photography (Type 55 polaroids negatives) in the Black Book and I got a call from an Ad Agency in Raleigh for a 5 Billboard national campaign for a certain cigarette brand. This was just when I was moving into my new studio in Little Italy and this was just when my father was combatting and losing his battle against emphysema. This assignment was mine if I wanted it... I could tell that...... I struggled with this long and hard and ultimately turned the job down. We all have a line in the sand when it comes to morality. My father passed away about 2 weeks later and he was proud of his 4 boys right to the end. He taught us to just do the right thing... and that is all we can do.

Kraft recipes that I photographed for one of a series of cook books ... this book was called Simple Celebrations and the idea was to celebrate, with a smidge of nostalgia, the quality of Kraft products... many of these classic recipes are from the 50s and 60s and we tried to reflect that in the look of the food... enjoy! hashtag#retro hashtag#recipes hashtag#classicrecipes hashtag#christmas hashtag#desserts hashtag#nostalgia
