Year in Review - At a Glance It certainly was an unprecedented year due to COVID-19. 2019 started strong but we saw a sharp decline in home sales and new listings when Covid hit, with the housing market falling approximately 60% in April and May. The spring market pushed into July and since then, sales and new listings have rebounded to near record levels. GTA realtors reported over 95,000 home sales in 2020 the third best result on record. The average selling price reached a new record of almost 930,000, an increase of 13.5% in comparison to 2019. Onwards to 2021! Only time will tell how the housing market will truly perform, but hoping for balance to the economy, our lives and prosperity for the New Year
