In case you missed the last Zero Commission Day and still want to pick up our album (digital or CD), Bandcamp is waiving its 15% today to support artists. So today 100% of your purchase helps us keep on making music for you! There's also an option to gift the album to someone. Here's the link if you're interested. Thanks! roadsunknown.bandcamp.com/releases
Quick update on this event: we were really hoping to do this as the Roads Unknown duo, anticipating a loosening of health regulations, but that did not happen. So I'll be performing this show solo but really missing Tony O'Hara's company and musical excellence. I'll be sharing new and older songs and really diving into the stories behind them. Hope you can join us.
Another personal favourite off our new Roads Unknown album! This one reflects some of the pain and patient hope felt when you just can't fix something between y...ou and someone you love deeply and you feel a distance growing between you. But we can still be present, hold them, and hope for better days together. That's all I'll say about this one... might get too personal. You can listen for free three times without paying, but if this song speaks to you and you'd like to support our music-making endeavours, would you please consider buying the digital album or CD? Have a wonderful day! See more

Sure feels good to release art into the world in times like these! Over the next few days, I want to share specific songs from our new album just released this week and why they're particularly meaningful to me. This one's the second song I ever wrote on a banjo. I remember writing the lyrics a few summers back while on a plane on a work trip. A few days later I applied for a new job and soon landed an interview. For me this song is all about facing the future with optimism ...and the joy of living a risky and adventurous life (well, within reason). I was offered the new job soon thereafter and told my soon-to-be boss, "I'd like to accept the offer. I did just write a song called, "We Might as Well!" And then when us as a band got a hold of this tune, the magic happened: Tony's funky 12-string electric, Jennie's fiery, fun fiddle, Sol's phenomenal bass lines, solidifying that sweet pocket... it really came all together. I had goose bumps in the studio hearing it all jell. Please have a listen (the link allows three listens without paying), but if you like it, please consider buying the digital version or CD this Friday on Bandcamp's zero commission day (100% goes to the artists). Thanks for listening and supporting us on our musical journey!!
Along with the wonderfully talented Rebecca Sichon, I got to do an interview for the local paper on behalf of Roads Unknown! Check it out (link to article below pic). #Thankful #MissingLiveMusic
So this happened last night! I'm so proud of us for winning the 2020 Fraser Valley Music Award for best roots artist(s). Please see below the video for a sneak listen to our album and how we'd so much appreciate your continued support. Thank you for journeying with us on roads unknown!!

Here's my new song, "On Miracle Beach," co-written with Eric McDonald. Below the video you can ready about how this song was inspired. Hope you enjoy it.
Good times with Mara Hatklin and Jennie Bice! #TennesseeWhiskey

My kind of Christmas song. The story behind this new original is below the video. Merry Christmas!
