I've sat here in my mind, all day, thinking about what I could/should say about Greg and where to begin... Greg... you, Peter and my dad were the best of friends, you three had a friendship that I grew up thinking "I want that, look at those guys, decades of stories, decades of love for eachother. That's special." When dad died, you made it your mission to check in, to see how we were doing, to meet up anytime you were back in Ontario for Canadian Music Week. You were alwa...ys there, with a joke, with advice, with a priceless, and I MEAN PRICELESS, story about my dad that bridged that connection to a person Andrew and I missed dearly and yearned to know better. You helped us stay connected to our roots and encouraged us to grow as young men. You spoke for our father whenever you told us how proud of us he would be, and encouraged us to be better. I didn't always agree with your opinions, but I recognized you were learned enough to have them, and always valued your input. You were a source of guidance, and wisdom, a mentor and a friend that I needed in my life. I love you so much, and all of us were blessed to have known you, what an incredible impact you had on the lives and careers of so many people, here in London and all over Canada and beyond. I wish I could hear you tell Abby and I's embarassing story, or play trivia at The Dawghouse one more time. Andrew and I send all our love, and warmth to his family, his daughters Abby, Jacqueline, and Nikki,his friends, and anyone else thinking fondly of Greg. Our lives were all made better for having known him. P.S. Dad has been waiting 12 years to get in that response to that thing you were talking about that one time. <3
